Chisel-ploughing the Ndume way means:

  1. More Acres cultivated with less fuel.
  2. Leaves your moisture from the previous season underground – where it should be.
  3. Incorporates crop residue into the topsoil where it should be.
  4. Eliminates all pans caused by conventional ploughing.
  5. Reduces erosion because moisture can penetrate deep down.
  6. Leaves your field in a state that means one harrowing is usually enough for a seed bed.

    • Low draft type tines with reversible spring-steel points
    • Each tine is equipped with a heavy-duty spring, which allows each tine to ride over minor obstacles without damaging the tine. In addition to the spring, each tine is equipped with a 5/8” Shear Bolt designed to shear if large obstacles are encountered
    (rocks, roots, etc)
    • Number of tines 5 – 13
    • Under beam clearance 610mm
    • Inter-tine clearance Adjustable
The Chisel ploughs are manufactured in sizes to suit tractors from 80 – 180 hp.

TINES are of the low draft type with a reversible spring-steel tip. The tines are mounted in a bracket that contains both a Shear Bolt and heavy-duty coil spring mechanism. Minor obstacles are taken up
through the spring tension thus eliminating constant Shear Bolt
breakages. When larger, more solid objects are encountered the Shear Bolt mechanism will shear, thus eliminating costly downtime and frame breakages in rocky conditions.

All ploughs can be supplied with depth control wheels as an optional extra.
