The Ndume weed buster cultivator is the ideal secondary tillage machine. In line with modern thinking, the weed buster slices off the weeds, breaks down the clods with a minimum loss of moisture and soil degradation.
Tine legs are made of steel channel boxed in at the back for maximum strength, each tine is fitted with a coil spring. Tines can be supplied with a 9” sweep or a 2” bar point depending on field conditions. There are 18 tines on the 13ft Mounted cultivator Depth control is carried out on the two main lifting rams on the central axle, wing wheels are depth controlled via a swivel link system to the main axle (trailed version). Depth control on the
mounted version is carried out through the crumbler roller.
Crumbler rollers can be fitted to all models to flatten out the ridge and furrow effect of the sweeps and to break down soil clods, thus leaving you with a perfect seed bed for planting.
The weed buster can easily be converted into an air seeder by simply fitting a Ndume seed and fertilizer box between the tractor and cultivator and fitting seeding pipes to the tines. In this situation the cultivator is fitted with press wheels instead of the roller.
Mounted models are available in a 13-foot working width. Trailed models are available in options of 16, 19, 24 and 28 foot working widths.
