The Ndume 2.5 ton trailer is built to last. It has a heavy duty chassis made from 5 x 2.5 x ΒΌ (all inches) channel with a load spreader plate on the chassis to distribute axle load over a length of 2 feet.
The draw bar is bolted into a heavy duty box section cross member and has a hardened steel bush in the hitch. All 2.5 ton trailers are fitted with a 4 ton axle with heavy duty tapered roller bearings. The trailer comes with bolt-on sides and a hinged, easily removable tailgate. Rims are heavy duty 750 x 16 split type, tyres 750 x 16 14 ply. Due to the bolt-on body sides, tailgate, drawbar and axle, multiple trailers can be flat packed on top of each other, thus allowing easy packing into containers for export.
